Working with wax and seals. The softened wax impressed with the design which then hardens in place; our lives need to be soft enough for the impression of the Holy Spirit - moldable/teachable
We are sealed with the Holy Spirit and in that, set apart - a seal of promise.
At this time of Pentecost when the church calendar remembers the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit I think it is good to remember what a radical thing it is: God's own Spirit dwelling in us..
Sealed also speaks of mystery to me - something kept sealed is secret, a mystery, a wondering, a curiosity...
a sealed envelope speaks of the importance of the contents to the sealer too....
